Matt's Racks

Good Wine Comes From Happy Bottles
A Taste of Camarillo

It’s not about wine racks.

I mean, I’ll be the first to tell you that the racks are cool. If I didn’t think they were awesome, I wouldn’t waste my time building them. But the truth is, this isn’t just about me making something that will look good on a counter or about people buying said thing and putting it in their homes.

This is about connecting Santa Barbara’s wine community to the larger community of Santa Barbara; it’s about taking our love of local wine one step further and letting local wine enthusiasts impact the city whose wine we love.

And to be completely honest, I’m not entirely sure how that will look in the long run. Right now, it means donating 10% of all proceeds to Casa Esperanza, a 24/7/365 homeless center in downtown Santa Barbara. As this project matures, I’d love to expand its scope, in terms of donations as well as projects. If you have an idea of an awesome way to do what I'm talking about, I'd love to hear from you!

This seems like as good a place as any to introduce you to the people who are helping me out thus far:
